Black Diamond Search and Rescue offers the following opportunities to local governments, EMS agencies, law enforcement, and volunteers, including:

• State SAR certifications: Black Diamond's team includes Virginia Department of Emergency Management Instructors, who are able to provide training to members seeking to improve their skills and gain certifications in search and rescue.
  
• Coordination of resources: Black Diamond can assist in coordinating resources to support search and rescue efforts, including personnel, equipment, and other assets
• Training opportunities: Black Diamond offers training programs to help individuals and teams sharpen their search and rescue and wilderness skills.
• Experienced response teams: Black Diamond has more than 30 certified Search Team Members or higher, who are available to respond to local wilderness emergencies.
  
• Community involvement and education: Black Diamond provides opportunities for youth and other community members to get involved and learn more about search and rescue operations.
